WHAT A BEGGAR!

I will never forget this experience I had five days ago.

I was at the workshop with some artisans when a dumb beggar came making all sort of gesture trying to communicate to us in helping him with some money to eat and surprisingly he brought out ten naira note giving signals expressing that was the only money left with him.

Humorously, I replied him saying, I even don't have any money with me, he should be thankful that he even has ten naira and I wouldn't even mind if he could give me the ten naira with him.

Surprisingly, he smiled giving me the last ten naira note with him and immediately he left. I paused for some seconds as I was so shocked with such response from a beggar, believe me if I tell you I have never seen such in my life.

What a beggar !
Immediately, I removed the last one thousand naira note I had with me from my wallet and ran out chasing him as I gave him the money. He couldn't say anything obviously because he was dumb but I could tell from his expression how happy he was.

This experience taught me a life lesson which is, "The giving approach to getting". I know we most likely might have being hearing this in our various religious gathering but trust me, it is not just a doctrine but it is a life principle.

People will naturally withdraw from you when they discover you're only interested in benefiting from them when you have nothing to offer directly or indirectly. Humans are benefit driven. No matter how long we give at a certain point, we will begin to question for our own interest.
At every major transition in your life always be interested in looking for where to give not where to get. I have learnt this from Mentors.

Look deep down within yourself, there's always something to offer.
Give out something today.
